The Small Delight of a Break

Hi all,

I decided to take a week break from writing as I was getting physically tired after working 5 8-hour laborious shifts. I know — 8 hours are nothing to cry about. Although, the two days (Sunday and Monday) I do get time off to myself, and now that I have started writing again, I’m still trying to figure out a solid schedule because I honestly cannot write every weekday and upload ahead of time.

I have been writing little by little though — at the very least, one story is in the queue of creation in a google document. The same for a poem that I’ve been adding one line to whenever I can think of it. I’m getting somewhere, visioning some sort of ending for them. However, I just can’t think execute these ideas at the top of my head.

When I’m not writing or working, I am browsing YouTube videos, reading some Medium stories/articles/poetry here and there, reading a couple of chapters of a fantasy book, and playing phone games.

There’s despair and gratification in these activities when I am not working. Despair because I should be doing something more productive than any of the above activities. Surrendering to them is my joy, my burden.

Thank you for reading!
